I know I told you guys that I might save you from my reviews (read: rambling rants) of True Blood in any further seasons since last season made me want to quit that bitch.
I’m sorry to say that I am totally going to watch this mess again and hope that they can’t possibly fuck it up more than they already did. Whether or not my reviews each week will be sponsored by hatewatching or lovewatching is another thing.
HBO, if you hadn’t strayed so far from the damn source material I wouldn’t have to slowly shake my head every time you show promos for a show I used to adore. *slowly shaking head again*

Just reblogging this for followers to say - watch this if you aren’t already! I’m loving it. Great reasons to watch this show:
1. It stars Mindy Kaling who is gorgeous, funny and super duper talented.
2. It stars a woman of color and I think we need to support shows like this so that big wigs at TV stations will start regularly hiring someone other than white people for their shows (and hey, I’m not hating - I’m white! - but racial diversity for the win okay?)
3. The main character is not only looking for love and romance but she’s motivated and smart with a demanding career. I love when female characters are portrayed to show that we can want both of those things and that the two are not mutually exclusive.
4. It’s funny, seriously.
Hi everyone! I need to start a new TV series for my before-bedtime viewing pleasure. I’m especially fond of British TV series which have a comedic element (it doesn’t have to be a straight comedy, I like dramas with touches of humor as well).
I’d also prefer shows that do not have a laugh track and that it be within the last decade (I’ve already seen most of the “classics” like Father Ted anyhow). I have seen A LOT of British television and I don’t know where to go now. I couldn’t possibly list all the ones I’ve seen, but for the most popular ones I know that will be suggested, I’ve already seen:
Dr. Who (haven’t seen this, but I’ve been expressly forbidden to start watching without my husband lol)
That Mitchell and Webb Look
The IT Crowd
Any suggestions that meet my very picky criteria?
This is really cool. This is a little behind the scenes of Defiance, which is a project collaboration between SyFy and Trion. It will be a scifi MMO and TV show which coincide with one another, a concept that is totally awesome in my opinion. And do you see some of the actors they’ve got for this? Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Julie Benz, Grant Bowler. Sounds good to me!
