And above all, love one another.

Yes, this.  A million times this.  And I’d like to point out that the writer of this article is a Christian.  I get tired of seeing all Christians villainized as being this one thing and responsible for all the faults of other Christians.  It’s akin to saying all Muslims are terrorists.  It’s offensive and bigoted.  There are plenty of great Christians out there who use their religion as a means to spread kindness and love.  I happen to be married to a lovely Christian - a good man with no ill will in his heart and not a bigoted bone in his body.  

I think it’s important we remember that because those people are fighting the same frustrating fight as the rest of us.  While these entirely too vocal Christians go out of their way to fight gay rights, others are fighting a battle to simply love and accept one another.

As the article writer pointed out,

“If Mike Huckabee had declared yesterday “Homeless Appreciation Day,” would the response have been even half as large and loud?”

I think we all know the answer to that.  And it makes me very sad indeed.
